Panorámica Dragonera

The Dragonera Island, a Natural Park since the year 1995, is the island's largest Mallorca, with a length of 4.2 Km., between cape Tramuntana and the cape of Llebeig. It is 700 m from the Majorcan coast and is separated from Sant Elm by the Freu channel.
The west of the island is formed by vertical cliffs. On the other hand, the coast of levante, the form torrents, small coves and the natural harbor of cala lladó, where is located the Interpretation Center, with a small exhibition of the Park and starting point for excursions on foot to each of the lighthouses of the island.

The highest point is Na Pňpia, to 353 m of altitude, where is the lighthouse of the same name, dismantled in 1910. It was this same year, when the other lighthouses on the island came into operation. In 1905 was built the Llebeig lighthouse, at 121 m on the level of the mar. In 1907 it was built the Tramuntana Mountain Range, 54 m of altitude.

In 1585 it was built the tower of Llebeig to prevent the entry of pirate ships in the cove of the same name. The tower was restored in the year 2004 and enabled for access.

In the Natural Park you can also observe other traditional buildings such as the lime kiln, mirador de na Miranda, the palomar, among many others.

Sa Dragonera was used throughout their history by pirates and smugglers, from which the establishment of numerous legends surrounding the island of the sargantanas.
